Ai generated tattoo designs, graphic design and “art” is becoming a huge trend. We understand that visualising your idea can be cool to see! But for us Goblins, working with you to understand what you want your new tattoo to represent - how to incorporate different ideas and make them into a beautiful tattoo & seeing your face be amazed is one of our favourite parts of our job!!
Most often, the artists at the Goblin will ask you for a straight-on photo of your desired area for your tattoo - this is so we can accurately design with YOUR body shape and so you can see how it can fit on your body. Ai does not understand body shape, curve, skin texture, or tattooing in what is physically possible and what will heal well & stay beautiful for a long time. These designs typically have too much detail, too many elements and don’t account for the above. We want you to love your new tattoo for years to come! This comes with some rules in tattoo design that Ai just cannot replicate.
We also often ask for reference photos, either of subject matter or other tattoos so we can see exactly what you love & want in your own design! Although Ai is becoming much harder to tell what’s real and what’s not, we ask that you trust your artist & keep an open mind when submitting ideas.
The ethical, environmental and social impact of Ai cannot be ignored. We are not equipped with the laws or legislation to protect the environment from the fast acceleration of Ai and the data centres to support it. These Ai companies are huge financial contributors to the capitalism agenda that only have the goal of being trillionaires in mind, with no concern for the planet or our future. The true human soul & human connection comes from art, music and creativity.
